Pages Read: 0-61

Prompt:  Write about a situation a character experiences. Write about a similar situation
you experienced.

Squirrel experienced many things, and all these things happened to him when he was just about 5 months.  Squirrel along with his brother Bone, and his mother lived on a nest in a shed filled with cats, mice, and many other little animals. His mother taught him how to hunt and the basics of how to survive.Their mother always left the shed to hunt for food, but she always would return by evening.  One day their mother never came back, but by that time mother had left, Squirrel and Bone had known practically everything they needed to know to survive as a puppy. They waited for their mother for quite a long time, but mother never showed up.

They were planing to leave the shed and to find a new home. They got out of the shed and went to where a highway was. They wanted to cross the highway, but there was just too many cars passing and they were passing by super fast. Then a car stopped and it was a lady and a man, they picked up Squirrel and Bone, and they took them home. Marcy and George were arguing whether or not to keep the puppies. Marcy really wanted them, but the puppies had made so many messes at the house, and she asked George to give them another chance. After Marcy left for work, George grabbed the puppies and drove off. He threw the puppies in the middle of the mall. Bone was bleeding from the fall from his nose, and Squirrel was a little bit injured. Then many people found them, and a lady felt bad for the puppies, and she was planning to keep Bone only. So she took Bone away from Squirrel, and Squirrel was left alone. Squirrel was so depressed because Bone, his brother was the only thing that was left with him.

A similar situation that I went through was when my new puppy in Mexico died. I feel like this is kind of similar of when Squirrel lost his brother. I had bought my new puppy and I had named him "Suki". My friend came up with the name. I go to Mexico once a year, and each year I get a new animal. Its always a bird or a bunny, but this time I got a puppy. I loved this puppy so much, even though I barely got him. I took care of him so much and I cared for him so much, and when I left Mexico I missed him so much. After I left Mexico, about 2 weeks later, my puppy had died. I was depressed for such a long time, and I just couldn't believe it.  I think I know what Squirrel is feeling right now, because I went through some sort of similar situation.

This is how my puppy looked.

The Key To Rondo
Pages Read: 1-98

Prompt: Draw 4 objects that represent your reading. Write a sentence for each, telling
what each item says about what you’ve been reading.

The three objects I chose to represent my book were a black hole, a key, a music box, and a dog. I chose the black hole because in my book the characters were in a bad situation were they had been frame and there was no way to get out. Then they found a hidey hole who was calling to them. The hidey hole told them to go inside, so they could hide from the police that almost found them. I thought a black hole could represent the hidey hole from my story. If it wasn't for the hidey hole, the characters would have been in so much trouble.

My second object to represent my reading was the music box. I chose this music box because the characters wouldn't have gotten to where they are now, if it wasn't for the music box. Their aunt had died and she was the owner of the music box, but the music had very special rules, that needed to be followed. They gave the music box to the main character. (Leo) The music box also came along with the key, which is why I chose my third object as the key. Leo and Mimi did not follow the special rules to the music box. (Mimi is a cousin who came to stay with them for a month) Since they did not follow the rules, A women appeared and took Mimi's dog and she was disappearing in a vortex, then mimi jumped in too, so did Leo.

I chose a dog as my fourth object to represent my reading because, Mimi's dog was very important to her. They went into the vortex in order to save her dog. When they landed off the vortex, they did not find the women, or Mimi's dog. Mimi was so desperately to find her dog, while Leo just wanted to get out of the place they had landed in. They are continuing the journey in this brand new place that they had never been in, just to find Mimi's dog, just as Leo had promised Mimi. Even though Leo is not so happy about Mimi's idea.

Prompt: When was the last time you did something for the first Time?

The last time I did something for the first time, was on January 8, 2015. I had tried a soup that my mom have made and I tasted it for the first time. My mom had made it several times, but I never really tried it. I thought it would taste disgusting, but it actually tasted pretty good.  I don't know how to describe the taste and I don't know exactly what its called, all I know it was pretty good.

When I tasted the soup I felt like it needed something more. Then after several spoons, I decided it would taste better with corn. Im not a big fan of vegetables, but I could eat corn anytime. Corn is my favorite vegetable, along with carrots. Anyways, I decided it needed more flavor and corn has a lot of flavor to it, and corn is also a bit sweet sometimes.

I don't really like to try new foods, especially if it doesn't look good, kind of like the soup I tasted for the first time. The soup does not look very good, but when you taste you get a totally different thought about it. There has been so many things that I have not been wanting to try. but people say there so good.  Maybe, sometime i'll try all the things I didn't get to try for being picky and maybe i'll like them.
