I have lived alone                                                                                            I have faced things by
                                                                                                                         myself
                                                                  We have been alone
I can beat up someone twice                                                                           I can beat someone
myself                                                                                                               else up
                                                                   We are strong
I like to get things done                                                                                   I don't ask for help
by myself                          
                                                                  We are independent
My parents died                                                                                            I did not get raised
as I grew up                                                                                                    by my parents
                                                                  We have losses
I loved my parents                                                                                        I don't know my parents

I was raised in the wild                                                                                I was raised in a prison
 
I experienced nature                                                                                    I experienced foster living

I slept in a cave-like                                                                                 I slept on a bunk bed
shelter                                                         We have a roof

I hunted for food                                                                                     I had food made for me

I have made an escape plan                                                                    I am stuck here in these two
                                                                                                                places

I have lasted long in the cold                                                                 I have my necessities

My dad gave me an education                                                                I was taught in a school

I know how to build a fire                                                                    I am not allowed to go near fires

I have a big and set goal                                                                       I have not thought about goals

My first shower wasn't until                                                                 My obligation is to take a
 I was 10                                                                                               shower, every morning
                                                                We are Different,
                                                                     yet alike
